TKG Message | 08.14.2026
This message begins with something deeply personal. Pastor Chris shared how a severe allergic reaction to aspirin during a COVID illness left him unconscious and, by his wife's account, looking like death itself had come for him. From that moment, he anchored the entire message around a single, searching question drawn from Isaiah 53: whose report are we going to believe? The heart of the teaching is this: faith is not speculation, and it is not wishful thinking. It rises from looking into the face of Jesus, the Author and Finisher who didn't just write the story but finished it. Pastor Chris walked through the difference between Moses, who was given a place beside God, and what we now have in Christ, a place in God, with full access to the knowledge of the Father's heart. He also offered a tender but honest challenge, that many of us can hear God's voice clearly but simply prefer our own, and that true faith is inseparable from intimacy, surrender, and a willingness to walk the narrow way. If you've ever wrestled with doubt, or found yourself looking to the wrong things for assurance, this message is an invitation worth accepting.
